Some interment rights holders, who are unable to maintain their grave, make arrangements with the Cemetery to have the staff maintain the grave flower beds and shrubs in return for an annual fee.
This fund has a portion of the interment right price that is required by the purchasers to contribute in accordance with the Funeral Burial & Cremation Services Act and is irrevocable. Trust funds are reported to The Bereavement Authority of Ontario annually and are automatically included with the purchase of each grave.
Planting regulations are outlined in the Cemetery By-laws. Winter wreaths are allowed from November 1st to April 15th. Artificial flowers are not allowed during the summer months on the grave or memorial stone and will be removed by the cemetery staff.
