This fund has a portion of the interment right price that is required by the purchasers to contribute in accordance with the Funeral Burial & Cremation Services Act and is irrevocable. Trust funds are reported to The Bereavement Authority of Ontario annually and are automatically included with the purchase of each grave.

The Bereavement Authority of Ontario requires cemeteries to have such trust funds appropriately administered. Scotia Bank administers these for The Milton Cemetery Company.

Only the interest from these funds can be used to maintain, secure and preserve the cemetery grounds providing general care.

The memorials in the cemetery are covered under a different care and maintenance fund to ensure that memorials remain safe. The responsibility for shrubs or gardens around the memorials is that of the rights holder.
